Setting up the itris Integration

This article describes how to set up your itris integration and sync features.

In order to set up your itris integration on SourceWhale simply follow these steps.


Step 1

Navigate to your initials/image in the bottom left-hand corner > click on Integrations > select itris.

Step 2

a. Next create an API user following these instructions:

b. Head to Integrations in itris.

c. Create a new Configuration.

Step 3

Enter your Username, Password and Subdomain in SourceWhale.

Step 4

Click 'Activate'.

Once your integration is active you will see a green connected box appear by the itris icon.


Sync Features

On the integrations page, an admin will be able to set default settings for yourself and your team.

General Settings

  1. Do not merge with existing contacts in itris: Turning this toggle on will create duplicates in itris.

  2. Displayed Company info: Select the option to give further information regarding a company in the SourceWhale chrome extension.

  3. Backfill SourceWhale events when creating a contact: Turning this toggle on will push all of the notes for SourceWhale events that have happened prior to us creating the contact in the CRM.

  4. Displayed Company Warning: Select the option you would like displayed to help identify the correct company for a contact when there may be a possible company duplicates or similarly named companies in itris.

  5. Create notes upon: Choose for which outreach types a note is pushed in itris

  6. Job Status Whitelist: Choose which jobs statuses you would like to display all jobs from. If nothing is selected, then all active jobs will be displayed.

Sync Settings

  1. Set different settings for Applicant and Contact.

  2. Only add notes to synced records: Toggling this on will mean that if you have "sync upon interested" or "sync upon replied" for the next option, we will only add notes to existing records in itris once an Applicant or Contact has been marked as "interested" or "replied".

  3. When adding to a campaign: Choose to sync when adding applicants/contacts or when they respond or when they respond positively and are interested. Click the lock icon to lock the sync settings for all non-admin users within the platform

  4. Displayed fields: Choose which itris fields users can optionally tag to applicants/contacts to push into itris.

  5. Mandatory fields: Choose which itris fields must be filled to push an applicant/contact into itris.

  6. Protected fields: Selected fields will not be overwritten in itris when syncing data.

  7. Filterable fields: Selected fields will be displayed within the SourceWhale search page as a filter, allowing your team to search your CRM using these fields directly from within SourceWhale.

Note Mapping

Here you can map SourceWhale stages to your custom itris note types.

  1. Set different settings for Applicants and Contacts.

  2. Select the drop-down for each stage to map it to the correct itris Note Type

Note: Please ensure that the note mapping is complete in order to see all note types in populate in itris.

Field Mapping

Here you can customise and map all itris fields to the corresponding SourceWhale variables.

Note: Please do not adjust unless you are finding that the variables are not mapping as expected in itris.

  1. Choose different field mapping for Applicants and Contacts in itris.

  2. String Variables: These SourceWhale variables can only be mapped to one field in itris.

  3. List Variables: These SourceWhale variables can be mapped to multiple fields in itris.

  4. Social URLs: Link specific social URLs such as LinkedIn, Twitter etc to the correct field in itris.
