Setting up the PeopleForce Integration

This article describes how to set up your PeopleForce integration and sync features.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

In order to set up your PeopleForce integration on SourceWhale simply follow these steps:

Step 1

Navigate to your initials/image in the bottom left-hand corner > Select Integrations from the dropdown menu.

Search for PeopleForce in the search bar.

Step 2

Head to Settings β†’ Open API keys (bottom of the page) β†’ Generate API key in your PeopleForce account.

Step 3

Once you have entered the API Key then click 'Activate'.

Once the integration is active, you will see a green connected box by the PeopleForce icon.

Sync Features

On the integrations page, you will be able to set default settings for yourself and your team.

General Settings

Sync manual contact updates to PeopleForce - Automatically update PeopleForce with any manual changes made by your team to contact fields in SourceWhale, such as name, company, role, location and more.

Sync Settings

  1. Only add notes to synced records - For example, if you choose to sync upon reply and this option is turned on, notes will not be created until the recipient replies, even if a record already exists for them in PeopleForce

  2. When adding to a campaign - Choose to sync when adding contacts or when they respond or when they respond positively and are interested. Click the lock icon to lock the sync settings for all non-admin users within the platform.

  3. Protected Fields - Selected fields will not be overwritten in PeopleForce when syncing data.

  4. Filterable Fields - Selected fields will be displayed within the SourceWhale search page as a filter, allowing your team to search your CRM using these fields directly from within SourceWhale.

Field Mapping

Here you can customise and map all PeopleForce fields to the corresponding SourceWhale variable.

Please do not adjust unless you are finding that the variables are not mapping as expected in PeopleForce.

  1. String Variables - These SourceWhale variables can only be mapped to one field in PeopleForce.

  2. List Variables - These SourceWhale variables can be mapped to multiple fields in PeopleForce.

  3. Social URLs - Link specific social URLs such as LinkedIn, Twitter etc to the correct field in PeopleForce.
