How to Add an Alias

This article will describe how to add an Alias.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

An Alias is an account from which another user can send emails, but they cannot access SourceWhale itself.

Setting up an Alias

Step 1

Navigate to your initials or profile picture and click Admin.

Step 2

Select the Add Users icon.

Step 3

Insert the email of the alias and select Alias from the User Type dropdown.

Step 4

Select the corresponding Main Account.

Step 4

If you have different groups that you'd like to allocate the Alias Seat to, click the Groups drop-down menu and select the specific group.

Step 5

Click Save.

Using an Alias in a Campaign

To use an Alias in a campaign, change the sender via the email drop-down and select the alias email you wish to use.

If you would like to add this for specific steps, untoggle 'Send in the same thread as previous email step' and then select the alias via the email drop-down.

Forwarding Alias Replies

When sending an email from an alias account or teammate's account, you can opt-in for replies to be forwarded to your inbox.

Navigate to the Settings tab within a campaign and toggle on 'Forward replies received by teammates'. Now, when a contact responds to an email step sent from an alias email account, the reply will be sent to the alias inbox and forwarded to you.
