Clockwork Integration Setup
In order to set up your Clockwork integration on SourceWhale simply follow these steps:
Step 1
Navigate to your initials/image in the bottom left-hand corner > click on Integrations.
Search for Clockwork in the search bar.
Step 2
β οΈ Clockwork charge monthly for an API key based on how many users you have.
Generate an API key following the instructions here. Please contact Clockwork support if you need help.
Enter the API Key, API Secret, Subdomain and Service Key in the relevant fields
Once you have entered the information then click 'Activate'.
Once your integration is active you will see a green connected box appear by the Clockwork icon.
Sync Features
On the integrations page, an admin will be able to set default settings for yourself and your team.
General Settings
Sync manual contact updates to Clockwork Recruiting
- Automatically update Clockwork Recruiting with any manual changes made by your team to contact fields in SourceWhale, such as name, company, role, location and more.Block emails to recipients marked as off-limits
- If turned on, SourceWhale will not send emails to contacts marked as off-limits/opt-out in Clockwork Recruiting.Update existing contacts' full work/education history, if known
- Turning this toggle on will update contacts in Clockwork with all available work and education history if synced again.Create notes upon
- Choose for which outreach types a note is pushed in Clockwork.
Sync Settings
Only add notes to synced records
- Toggling this on will mean that if you have "sync upon interested" or "sync upon replied" for the next option, we will only add notes to existing records in Clockwork once a Person has been marked as "interested" or "replied".When adding to a campaign
- Choose to sync when adding Persons or when they respond or when they respond positively and are interested.Displayed Fields
- Choose which Clockwork fields users can optionally tag to Person to push into Clockwork.Mandatory Fields
- Choose which Clockwork fields must be filled to push a Person into Clockwork.Protected Fields
- Selected fields will not be overwritten in Clockwork when syncing data.Filterable Fields
- Selected fields will be displayed within the SourceWhale search page as a filter, allowing your team to search your CRM using these fields directly from within SourceWhale.
Stage Mapping
Here you can map SourceWhale stages to your custom Clockwork stages.
Select the drop-down for each stage to map it to the correct Clockwork Stage
Note Mapping
Here you can map SourceWhale outreach types to your custom Clockwork note types.
Select the drop-down for each outreach type to map it to the correct Clockwork note type
Field Mapping
Here you can customise and map all Clockwork fields to the corresponding SourceWhale variable.
Please do not adjust unless you are finding that the variables are not mapping as expected in Clockwork.
Select different settings for Person/Company
String Variables
- These SourceWhale variables can only be mapped to one field in Clockwork.List Variables
- These SourceWhale variables can be mapped to multiple fields in Clockwork.Social URLs
- Link specific social URLs such as LinkedIn, Twitter etc to the correct field in Clockwork.
Using Clockwork with SourceWhale
Within SourceWhale you can use the Clockwork integration features in the campaign settings or Chrome extension.
Campaign Settings
When creating a campaign, you will be prompted with this pop-up:
Below the campaign name and type, you can choose whether to sync as a Person or not to sync. You can also choose to adjust the default sync settings. If you click on the grey arrow to the right-hand side of the 'Sync options', you will see that you have the possibility to push a Person through with specific tags.
Chrome Extension
When using the Chrome extension you will be able to access some of these features as well. This option is available in order to give the ability to change the settings you have previously set, for specific individuals.
I.e. In the campaign settings page, you have selected that you want everyone to be pushed through as a Person, but you come across someone you'd rather not push, you can then change this by clicking on the 'sync as' box and selecting the option that suits that Person better.
You can do the same in regards to campaign setting options, by clicking on the grey arrow to the right of the 'Sync as' box.
Your team admin can alter the fields displayed at any time by going to the integrations page.
