New Outlook - Installing the Outlook Add-in

  1. Open Outlook, on the navigation bar, click the 'Apps' icon and then select 'Add Apps'.

  2. On the Apps page search for 'SourceWhale'. Make sure you select SourceWhale for Outlook (we also have an excel add-in available in the store).

  3. Once you've downloaded the add-in, you can open it by clicking on 'New email' then select 'Apps' and click on 'SourceWhale.

    1. Note: you need to be logged in with the same email used on your SourceWhale account.

    2. Note: If you can't see the SourceWhale add-in, try logging out and back into your Outlook account to ensure the add-in has fully installed.

  4. You'll then see the SourceWhale add-in appear, next you need to pin the add-in. Once you've pinned it, you can request activation code. The code will be sent to your inbox after a few seconds.

  5. You'll then need to enter your 6 digit code into the add-in and click 'Activate'. Success! You can now access the Outlook add-in.

Classic Outlook - Installing the Outlook Add-in

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. From the ribbon, select Home > All Apps. If the Simplified Ribbon is configured in your Outlook client, select the ellipsis button (...) from the ribbon, and then choose All Apps.

N.B. Starting in Outlook for Windows Version 2303 (Build 16215.10000), the 'All Apps' button replaces the 'Get Add-ins' button on the ribbon to view installed add-ins and access the Office Store. If you’re using an earlier version of Outlook, you'll see the 'Get Add-ins button instead.

  3. Depending on your Outlook version or account type, select Add Apps or Get Add-ins.

  4. The dialog that appears varies depending on whether you had the Add Apps or Get Add-ins option available to you.

If you selected Add Apps, the Apps dialog appears.

If you selected Get Add-ins, the Add-Ins for Outlook dialog appears.

  5. On the Apps page search for 'SourceWhale'. Make sure you select SourceWhale for Outlook (we also have an excel add-in available in the store).

  6. When you're ready to install the add-in, select Add.

  7. Once the add-in is installed, open it by navigating to All Apps and selecting SourceWhale.

    1. Note: you need to be logged in with the same email used on your SourceWhale account.

    2. Note: If you can't see the SourceWhale add-in, try logging out and back into your Outlook account to ensure the add-in has fully installed.

  8. You'll then see the SourceWhale add-in appear, next you need to pin the add-in. Once you've pinned it, you can request activation code. The code will be sent to your inbox after a few seconds.

  9. You'll then need to enter your 6 digit code into the add-in and click 'Activate'. Success! You can now access the Outlook add-in.
