In order to set up your Personio integration on SourceWhale simply follow these steps.

Step 1

Navigate to your initials/image in the bottom left-hand corner > Select Integrations from the dropdown menu > Search for Personio in the search bar.

Step 2

Head to Settings > API credentials in your Personio account.

Enter the Recruiting API key, Company ID and Domain.

Step 3

Click 'Activate'.

Once your integration is active you will see a green connected box appear by the Personio icon.

Sync Features

On the integrations page, you will be able to set default settings for yourself and your team.

General Settings

Do not merge with existing contacts in Personio: Turning this toggle on will create duplicates in Personio.

Sync Settings

  1. Only add notes to synced records: Toggling this on will mean that if you have "sync upon interested" or "sync upon replied" for the next option, we will only add notes to existing records in Personio once a Candidate has been marked as "interested" or "replied".

  2. When adding to a campaign: Choose to sync when adding Candidates or when they respond or when they respond positively and are interested. Click the lock icon to lock the sync settings for all non-admin users within the platform.

  3. Displayed fields: Choose which Personio fields users can optionally tag to a Candidate to push into Personio.

  4. Mandatory fields: Choose which Personio fields must be filled to push Candidates into Personio.

  5. Protected fields: Selected fields will not be overwritten in Personio when syncing data.

  6. Filterable fields: Selected fields will be displayed within the SourceWhale search page as a filter, allowing your team to search your CRM using these fields directly from within SourceWhale.

Field Mapping

Here you can customise and map all Personio fields to the corresponding SourceWhale variable.

Note: Please do not adjust unless you are finding that the variables are not mapping as expected in Personio.

  1. String Variables: These SourceWhale variables can only be mapped to one field in Personio.

  2. List Variables: These SourceWhale variables can be mapped to multiple fields in Personio.

  3. Social URLs: Link specific social URLs such as LinkedIn, Twitter etc to the correct field in Personio.

You are now ready to start using your Personio integrations. See our article on using Personio with SourceWhale here.
