Personalized Voicemail Greetings

  • Users can set up customized voicemail greetings via the Profile Settings

  • The SourceWhale Default greeting will automatically be selected for the user if they haven’t set up a customized voicemail greeting.

  • To create a custom voicemail greeting, the user can click "New Greeting", followed by the record button.

  • The user can listen back to the recording and give it a name. Once they are happy with it they can click save.

  • Depending on the length of the voicemail, it may take a few seconds for the voicemail to appear on the page.

  • The user should see a confirmation notification if the voicemail has successfully been submitted.

  • The customized voicemail greeting will then appear in the dropdown list for the user to select as their default.

  • The user can listen back to the voicemail, edit the name or remove the voicemail at any time

  • Contacts who call the user’s number and reach the voicemail will now hear the customized voicemail greeting selected in the list.

Note: Voicemail Greetings are capped at 30 seconds.

Voicemail Drops

Recording voicemail drops

  • Users can set up pre-recorded voicemail messages to drop into an outbound call after they reach the voicemail of the contact they are calling.

  • Users can set these up by navigating to Your Voicemail Drops in the profile settings and clicking New Message

  • The user must hit the record button to start recording the voicemail drop.

  • After saving the voicemail drop, it will be made available in the dialer when making an outbound call.

Note: Voicemail Drop messages are capped at 60 seconds

Sending voicemail drops

  • To send a voicemail drop

    • Commence an outbound call

    • Click on the voicemail button in the dialer and select the correct voicemail drop from the list

    • Wait for the beep and click on the voicemail drop to send your message

    • Once the voicemail has been dropped, you will see a confirmation banner in the Dialer and the call will hang up.

Note: Clicking on the voicemail drop before the user reaches the contact’s voicemail will still result in the voicemail drop being sent, which may result in only half the recording being picked up by the voicemail. It is therefore very important that users only send the voicemail drop after they hear the beep.
