Setting up the MailChimp integration

To set up your MailChimp integration, navigate to your initials in the bottom left hand corner and click 'Integrations'

Type 'MailChimp' in the search bar and click 'Connect'. Generate a Mailchimp Transactional API Key on the MailChimp platform, copy it, paste it into the API Key field in SourceWhale, and press 'Activate'.

Note: Instructions to obtain an Mailchimp Transactional API Key from MailChimp can be found here. You'll need to ensure you have the Transactional Add-on to your Mailchimp plan. If you have a Mailchimp Standard plan or higher, you can enable Mailchimp Transactional from the Monthly plans or credits page of your account. The Standard API Key will not work.


How to use your MailChimp email address

Navigate to the campaign section

Create a new campaign by clicking the 'New Campaign' button in the top right hand corner

Within your campaign steps - navigate to step one and select 'email' in the drop down menu

Navigate to your email address and select your MailChimp email address

Your campaign outreach should now be scheduled in the outbox to be sent via your MailChimp email address.
