This article describes how to set up and use your SendGrid integration on SourceWhale

Setting up the SendGrid integration

To set up your SendGrid integration, navigate to your initials in the bottom left hand corner and click 'Integrations'

Type 'SendGrid' in the search bar and click 'Connect'. Generate an API Key on the SendGrid platform, copy it, paste it into the API Key field in SourceWhale, and press 'Activate'.

Note: Instructions for obtaining an API Key from SendGrid can be found here. When creating a new API Key, please ensure Full Access is granted.


How to use your SendGrid email address

Navigate to the campaign section

Create a new campaign by clicking the 'Create a Campaign' button in the top right hand corner

Within your campaign steps - navigate to step one and select 'email' in the drop down menu

Navigate to your email address and select your SendGrid email address

Your campaign outreach should now be scheduled in the outbox to be sent via your SendGrid email address.

Sending via SendGrid will bypass any campaign or profile-level volume sending limits that have been set.

FAQ

Does SendGrid bypass the SourceWhale sending limits?

Yes, they will bypass both the SourceWhale’s daily and campaign sending limit and you will be able to send an uncapped amount if you are sending via SendGrid. This also means that emails will all get sent at the same time if using SendGrid as it bypasses SourceWhale staggering system (i.e. 3 min wait in between each email).
