Setting up the Seven20 integration

This article describes how to set up your Seven20 integration on SourceWhale.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

In order to set up your Seven20 integration on SourceWhale simply follow these steps.

Step 1

Navigate to your initials/image in the bottom left-hand corner > click on Integrations.

Search for Seven20 in the search bar and click it

Step 2

Click 'Activate' and you will be prompted to login to your Seven20 account.

When the integration is active, you will see a green connected box appear on the right-hand side of the Seven20 logo.

Integration Settings

On the integrations page, you will be able to set default settings for yourself and your team.

Contact Settings

Sync manual contact updates to Seven20 - Automatically update Seven20 with any manual changes made by your team to contact fields in SourceWhale, such as name, company, role, location and more.

Block emails to recipients marked as off-limits - If turned on, SourceWhale will not send emails to contacts marked as off-limits/opt-out in Seven20.

Adding to Seven20

Add Candidate/ClientContact to Seven20 - Choose when Candidates/ClientContacts get added to Seven20, either when added to the campaign, when they respond or when they respond positively and are interested. Alternatively, you can choose to not add this contact type.

Only add notes to synced records - Toggling this on will mean that if you have "only when they reply" or "only when they are interested" for the Add Candidate/ClientContact to option, we will only add notes to existing records in Seven20 once a Candidate/ClientContact has been marked as "interested" or "replied".

Candidate/ClientContact Fields

Displayed Fields - Choose which Seven20 fields users can optionally tag to a Candidate/ClientContact to push into Seven20.

Mandatory Fields - Choose which Seven20 fields must be filled to push Candidates/ClientContacts into Seven20.

Update field in Seven20 - You can choose "Always update" or "Only update if Blank":

Always update will update the field regardless if there is existing information on a contact in this field. Any existing information will be overwritten by the new information.

Only update if Blank will only update when the field is empty and won't overwrite any existing data.

Candidate/ClientContact Status

Default Status - Add new Candidates/ClientContacts with a default status.

Advanced Settings

Filterable Fields - Selected fields will be displayed within the SourceWhale search page as a filter, allowing your team to search your CRM using these fields directly from within SourceWhale.

Activity Notes

Here you can choose which activities will create notes in Seven20.

Note creation

Create new notes from - Choose for which outreach types a note is pushed in Seven20.

Note mapping

Here you can map SourceWhale activities to your custom Seven20 note types.

Set different settings for Candidates/ClientContacts by selecting the relevant tab.

Select the dropdown for each stage to map it to the correct Seven20 Note Type

You don't need to map notes as the note will still be created in the CRM (just without a specific note action type/category) but mapping helps track ROI.

Contact Fields

Here you can customise and map all Seven20 fields to the corresponding SourceWhale variable.

Please do not adjust unless you are finding that the variables are not mapping as expected in Seven20.
