Setting up the Bullhorn for Salesforce Integration

This article describes how to set up your Bullhorn for Salesforce integration and Integration settings

In order to set up your Bullhorn for Salesforce integration on SourceWhale simply follow these steps.

Step 1

Navigate to your initials/image in the bottom left-hand corner > Select Integrations from the dropdown menu > Search for Bullhorn for Salesforce in the search bar.

Step 2

Click on connect and then click 'Activate'. This will redirect you to login to your Bullhorn for Salesforce Account

Once the integration is active you will see a green connected box by the Bullhorn for Salesforce icon.


Integration Settings

On the integrations page, you will be able to set default settings for yourself and your team.

Contact Settings

Sync manual contact updates to Bullhorn for Salesforce - Automatically update Bullhorn for Salesforce with any manual changes made by your team to contact fields in SourceWhale, such as name, company, role, location and more.

Block emails to recipients marked as off-limits - If turned on, SourceWhale will not send emails to contacts marked as off-limits/opt-out in Bullhorn for Salesforce.

Adding to Bullhorn for Salesforce

Add Candidate/Client/Lead to Bullhorn for Salesforce - Choose when Candidate/Client/Lead get added to Bullhorn for Salesforce, either when added to the campaign, when they respond or when they respond positively and are interested. Alternatively, you can choose to not add this contact type.

Only add notes to synced records - Toggling this on will mean that if you have "only when they reply" or "only when they are interested" for the Add Candidate/Client/Lead to option, we will only add notes to existing records in Bullhorn for Salesforce once a Candidate/Client/Lead has been marked as "interested" or "replied".

Candidate/Client/Lead Fields

Displayed Fields - Choose which Bullhorn for Salesforce fields users can optionally tag to a Candidate/Client/Lead to push into Bullhorn for Salesforce.

Mandatory Fields - Choose which Bullhorn for Salesforce fields must be filled to push Candidate/Client/Lead into Bullhorn for Salesforce.

Update field in Bullhorn for Salesforce - You can choose "Always update" or "Only update if Blank":

Always update will update the field regardless if there is existing information on a contact in this field. Any existing information will be overwritten by the new information.

Only update if Blank will only update when the field is empty and won't overwrite any existing data.

Advanced Settings

Filterable Fields - Selected fields will be displayed within the SourceWhale search page as a filter, allowing your team to search your CRM using these fields directly from within SourceWhale.

Activity Notes

Here you can choose which activities will create notes in Bullhorn for Salesforce.

Note creation

Create new notes from - Choose for which outreach types a note is pushed in Bullhorn for Salesforce.

Note mapping

Here you can map SourceWhale activities to your custom Bullhorn for Salesforce note types.

Set different settings for Candidate/Client/Lead by selecting the relevant tab.

Select the dropdown for each stage to map it to the correct Bullhorn for Salesforce Note Type

You don't need to map notes as the note will still be created in the CRM (just without a specific note action type/category) but mapping helps track ROI.

Contact Fields

Here you can customise and map all Bullhorn for Salesforce fields to the corresponding SourceWhale variable.

Please do not adjust unless you are finding that the variables are not mapping as expected in Bullhorn for Salesforce.

General Settings

Displayed Company Information

Displayed account info - Select the option to give further information regarding a company in the SourceWhale Chrome extension.

Displayed account warning - Select the option you would like displayed to help identify the correct company for a Candidate/Client/Lead when there may be possible company duplicates or similarly named companies in your CRM.

Remove Flagged Data

Remove flagged email addresses - If you flag an email address in SourceWhale, it will be removed from any contacts in Bullhorn for Salesforce that have the address.

Remove flagged phone numbers - If you flag a phone number in SourceWhale, it will be removed from any contacts in Bullhorn for Salesforce that have the address.

Advanced Settings

Create accounts for - Create accounts when creating these types of records
