Enhance your outreach with personalized, flexible signature options.

Updated over a month ago

SourceWhale now lets you set multiple signatures on your account, allowing you to tailor signatures for different outreach scenarios. This feature empowers recruiters to craft more targeted and personalized communications, helping you build stronger connections with your audience. Manage and update your signatures easily from your profile, extension, or directly within the campaign page to streamline your workflow.

If you haven't yet created a signature on your account, please reference this guide: Adding and Amending your Email Signature.

Overview of Multiple Signature settings on SourceWhale:

    1. Create signatures

    2. Choose your default signature (this will be the signature which is automatically applied to outreach)

    3. Rename/Edit Signatures

    4. Delete Signatures

    1. Choose a signature for each individual campaign

    1. Adding new senders during personalisation stage

Profile - Multiple Signatures Settings

From the Profile, under Content Settings, you can create and use multiple signatures.

Create additional signature

  • We recommend sending a new signature to signatures@sourcewhale.com to ensure that your signature is formatted correctly, you can follow the guide here.

  • Alternatively, you can manually type your signature - under the content settings, select 'Add Signature' and give it a name.

  • Type your signature content and click 'Save Signature'.

Set Default Signature

  • A default signature means that this signature will be automatically chosen to be sent on all outreach, unless you change the signature on the individual campaign settings.

  • You can identify your current default signature as the signature name will have (Default) at the end

  • To set a new signature as your default, select the three dots next to the signature name and select 'Set as Default'

Delete Signature

  • To delete a signature, select the three dots and then 'Delete'

  • You'll need to confirm that you want to delete the signature. If this signature is your default signature, then you'll be shown which signature will be made the default.

  • Deleting your only signature will result on no signatures being sent on your outreach

Rename/Edit Signature

  • To rename the signature, select the three dots and then Rename.

  • Edits can be made in the text box and the 'Save Signature'

  • Alternatively, send your updated signature to signatures@sourcewhale.com

Campaign Settings - Multiple Signatures

Once you've written your campaign and chosen senders for each step, you'll be able to view the associated signatures in the campaign settings, which you can amend if necessary.

  • Your default signature will be automatically applied to outreach, however, if you would like to specify a signature for an individual campaign, you'll need to go to the campaign settings page.

  • Under the Email Signatures Settings, click the dropdown and select the signature you'd like to use.

  • 'Always Use Default Signature' option will select whichever signature is set to your default at the time the emails send

Extension - Multiple Signatures

  • When personalizing your outreach on the extension, you'll be able to see a preview of the selected signature for each sender. The preview will only display on the first email in the campaign that they are a sender for.

  • If you want to personalize your outreach by selecting a new sender for this one contact, you can do so by clicking the profile icon dropdown in the top left of the step.

  • If a brand new sender is selected that was not originally set on the campaign, you'll be able to select which signature you'd like to use from the dropdown shown below.
