Setting up your Pipedrive integration in SourceWhale is very simple, all you need to do is follow the steps below.
Step 1
Go to your initials/image in the bottom left-hand corner of SourceWhale and click on it > Select Integrations from the dropdown box > Select Pipedrive.
Step 2
Once Pipedrive has been selected, click 'Activate'.
When the integration is active, you will see a green connected box appear to the right hand side of the Pipedrive logo.

On the integrations page, you will be able to set default settings for yourself and your team.
Contact Settings
Sync manual contact updates to Pipedrive
- Automatically update Pipedrive with any manual changes made by your team to contact fields in SourceWhale, such as name, company, role, location and more.
Adding to Pipedrive
Add Contact to Pipedrive
- Choose when Contacts get added to Pipedrive, either when added to the campaign, when they respond or when they respond positively and are interested. Alternatively, you can choose to not add this contact type.
Only add notes to synced records
- Toggling this on will mean that if you have "only when they reply" or "only when they are interested" for the Add Contact to
option, we will only add notes to existing records in PIpedrive once a Contact has been marked as "interested" or "replied".

Displayed Fields
- Choose which Pipedrive fields users can optionally tag to a Contact to push into Pipedrive.
Mandatory Fields
- Choose which Pipedrive fields must be filled to push Contacts into Pipedrive.
Update field in Pipedrive
- You can choose "Always update" or "Only update if Blank":
Always update will update the field regardless if there is existing information on a contact in this field. Any existing information will be overwritten by the new information.
Only update if Blank will only update when the field is empty and won't overwrite any existing data.
Advanced Settings
Filterable Fields
- Selected fields will be displayed within the SourceWhale search page as a filter, allowing your team to search your CRM using these fields directly from within SourceWhale.
Activity Notes
Here you can choose which activities will create notes in Pipedrive.
Note creation
Create new notes from
- Choose for which outreach types a note is pushed in Pipedrive.
Note mapping
Here you can map SourceWhale activities to your custom Pipedrive note types.
Select the dropdown for each stage to map it to the correct Pipedrive Note Type
You don't need to map notes as the note will still be created in the CRM (just without a specific note action type/category) but mapping helps track ROI.
Contact Stages
Here you can map SourceWhale outreach stages to your custom Pipedrive stages.
Select the drop-down for each stage to map it to the correct Pipedrive Stage.
Contact Fields
Here you can customise and map all Pipedrive fields to the corresponding SourceWhale variable.
Please do not adjust unless you are finding that the variables are not mapping as expected in Pipedrive.

- Select the option to give further information regarding a company in the SourceWhale Chrome extension.
Displayed organization warning
- Select the option you would like displayed to help identify the correct company for a Contact when there may be possible company duplicates or similarly named companies in your CRM.
Advanced Settings
Don't overwrite existing CVs in Pipedrive
- If a contact has an existing CV in Pipedrive, we will not upload a new CV.
