If you joined SourceWhale after May 2024, the Gmail Add-in is automatically enabled on your account. For accounts created before May 2024, you’ll need to enable the add-in manually. Follow the instructions below to get started.
Setting up the Gmail Add-in & Updating your SourceWhale Extension
Ensure you have the SourceWhale extension downloaded (if you don't, please follow this guide first).
Next you'll need to check that you have the most up to date version. To do so, head to the puzzle piece icon in your Chrome Browser and click 'Manage Extensions'.
Next, ensure you have developer mode switched on, located in the top right corner of your screen.
You'll then be able to click the 'update' button, in the top left of the screen.
Next, you'll need to right click on the extension icon and select 'Gmail Add-in'
Once Gmail is ticked, head back to Gmail and hard refresh the page:
Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R
You'll now notice the SourceWhale logo in the top of the Gmail site.
Open out a new email to see the SourceWhale add-in and get started with the new features! Follow this guide for more information on how to use the add-in.
