How to add SourceWhale as a Source in Vincere

This article will show you how you can add "SourceWhale" to your Source list in Vincere so it tracks automatically when adding from SourceWhale.

The following will need to be actioned by user with Admin permissions in Vincere.

Follow the steps below on how to add SourceWhale as a value to your Source list in Vincere.

Step 1

Login to your Vincere CRM, click on the Settings button (cog icon) in the bottom left hand corner and then go to Admin Settings.

Step 2

Under the General Settings tab, find "Organizational Settings" and click Edit

Step 3

Click on the Application / Candidate Source tab and then click the Create new source button.

Step 4

Enter the details of the Source as listed below:

Sources: SourceWhale

Location: Select All from the dropdown

Start date: Select today's date

End date: Select the furthest date possible

Show in Candidate Source list: Ensure this is ticked so that it shows up as a valid selectable option.

Then click Save in the bottom right hand corner.

You have now setup SourceWhale as a source in Vincere ! This will now be automatically as a source whenever you add someone from SourceWhale into your CRM.

Source Mappings in SourceWhale

One thing you will need to check is that you have mapped source correctly in SourceWhale within the Contact Fields for all your Contact types that you use (Candidate or Contacts ). This can be done by following these steps:

1. Navigate to your Integration Settings in SourceWhale.

2. Click on Vincere
3. Click on the Contact Fields tab

4. Select the relevant tab (Candidate, Contact)

5. Scroll down to Source and check this is mapped to the correct field

6. Repeat this for each contact type.

Ensure this is mapped to the source field where you added the SourceWhale value.
